Job Description Summary:
Under general supervision, the Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and financial reporting. This role is critical to operational success, leveraging proven experience and sound professional judgment to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data while maintaining compliance with internal controls and contributing to continuous process improvements within the accounting function.

- Month end procedures including preparation of monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Assist with payroll processing and related journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Support financial statement and internal control audits.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Education/Certifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- 1-2 years corporate accounting experience preferred.

Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Access.
- Proficiency in Information Management, Data Entry, File Management and web based applications.
